Subject: mega doses of vitamin C

I appreciated Bonnie MacEvoy's annotated response to the vitamin C

endorsement.

One thing not mentioned is that megadoses of ascorbic acid are reputed to

interfere with copper absorption - a mineral of great significance and much

harder to obtain in adequate amounts through diet than vitamin C. Unnaturally

high concentrations of nutrients cannot be assumed to be benign just because

they appear in lesser concentrations in food.
