I don't think you know what constitutes a "high protein diet"... this

information is also available in Nutrition 101.

 

Kevin, balance is all that is at issue here. Since I started checking into

"the Zone" program, I have asked each and every patient what they have for

breakfast. More than 90% of them reply "nothing" or toast and coffee or some

other carbo meal.

 

Many of them also skip lunch or grab fast food. Supper is when they try to

make up for nutritional vises with a square meal.

 

People FEEL better when they add an adequate amount of protein into each

meal and snack. If you haven't tried this yourself you really should. My

energy levels have trippled, I have no cravings between meals, no

mid-afternoon slump, and my clothes fit again. More importantly perhaps, my

triglyerides, cholesterol and blood pressure have fallen (within one month)

to normal levels.
