It means your body does not "pick itself back up" after your insulin

goes up and the sugar goes down and you crash and get jittery and

cranky. Check out "THE ZONE" by Barry Sears (http://www.eicotech.com)

or the "CARBOHYDRATE ADDICTS DIET" (author?) My hypoglycemic patients

do great with a little more balance in their eating... balance with

respect to carbohydrates and protein that is. Sears recommneds a

30:40;30 diet of protein carbo and fat with the emphasis on lean protein

and "healthy fats" (monounsaturates like Olive oil, olives, raw almonds,

and avacados).

Even the American Diabetic Association now says that sugar is not a bad

thing... no worse than corn, carrots, bread or potatoes --- they all

cause a rapid rise in blood sugar and should be limited if you are

trying not to "spike" your insulin.

The best diet for you is 30% lean meats/non-fat dairy/eggs

40% fruits and veggies (carbos) and

very limited starches/sugar

30% fats (monounsaturated)

And don't overeat or skip meals... both of these habits cause your

insulin to surge and blood sugar to crash.

If you eat a balanced diet for awhile and stay off the caffeine, you'll

find that you are no longer a hypoglycemic (that means your adrenal

glands have recovered).

Good luck to you.

Sincerely,
