Subject: Re: Chemotherapy patient: Diet recommendations?

I'm sorry you don't 'believe' in conventional medicine, and your disdain

shows.

Now, what to do for your brother...well, keep him on the chemo treatments,

for one, I would advise him not to listen to people like you who are against

the medical treatments, except for one thing.

Get your handy dandy little pack of herbs, or teas, and vitamins, and see

what makes him feel better.

I think if you give the irradiated area vitamin E oil it will make the area

feel les unfcomfortable, this is taken internally, AND onto the skin of the

area.

I think chicken soup is great for not feeling well, but for me, the only

thing that tasted good.....was chinese food, and tofu, and especially soups

because my mouth tasted like I sucked on iron bars the night before.

Use the herbs, use the natural ways you know, but DON'T STAND IN THE WAY OF

CONVENTIONAL MEDICINE!

And you might try and go with him to the doctors, and to his treatments as

support, and when you do this YOU ARE NOT ALLOWED TO SHARE YOUR VIEWPOINTS

AND TAKE APART EVERYTHING BECAUSE YOU THINK YOU KNOW BETTER!

He needs suuport, and frankly, you are not giving him the support he needs

when you probably have told him that you don't believe in regular medicine.

What he does need, is a helpful hand, because Cancer IS NOT FUN. Help cook

for him, or clean, or take care of pets if he needs it, THAT is help.

P.S.- high protien, vitamin rich diets are best for cancer patients, talk to

the doctors about what foods he should avoid while under chemo treatments to

make sure nothing conflicts with treatment, or makes him throw up.
