In response to naturally occurring toxins in plant foods. Both parsnips

and raw mushrooms contain naturally occurring toxic cpds. When I

asked several plant toxins specialists at Cornell about these veggies, their

response was that although both

contained toxic substances, one would have to eat parsnips every day for

quite a while to have any effect. A balanced and varied diet is

protective in many ways!
